Key Responsibilities Cost Reduction & Value Engineering
- Lead global Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VA/VE) initiatives to identify and realize cost-saving opportunities across products and operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Sourcing, Operations, and Product Management to drive cost optimization projects from concept through implementation.
- Track, validate, and report project savings to ensure achievement of annual cost reduction targets.
- Manage and monitor cost performance for GBB (Global Business Building) and NPD (New Product Development) projects.
- Partner with project teams to establish cost targets, monitor budget adherence, and identify cost risks throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Drive corrective actions to ensure projects meet cost objectives and profitability targets.
- Define and execute sourcing strategies for key platform components.
- Work closely with suppliers and procurement teams to optimize component cost, availability, and total cost of ownership.
- Manage inventory planning and lifecycle strategies to support business continuity and cost efficiency.
- Analyze cost structures, market trends, and business data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Develop dashboards, cost models, and performance reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Provide cost insights and recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Solid understanding of power supply products, power conversion technologies, and electronic components.
- Proven experience in cost management, value engineering, sourcing, procurement, or product cost optimization within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and drive actionable insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and project management tools.
- Experience working in cross-functional and international environments.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams.
- Strong project management, organizational, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to influence, coordinate, and drive initiatives to successful completion in a matrix organization.
- Experience in the power electronics, power supply, industrial automation, or related industries.
- Familiarity with component cost modeling, should-cost analysis, and supplier negotiations.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management experience is a plus.
