Software Engineering Intern, Test Automation — Autonomous Vehicles

München, Bavaria, GermanyInternship1 mo. ago

NVIDIA is powering the AI revolution. One of the most exciting applications ofour AI capabilities is in Autonomous Driving.Autonomous vehicles demandthe highest standards of safety and reliability — and the test infrastructurebehind them must match that bar.

We are looking for a highly motivated intern to join our ADAS Engineeringteam, with a focus on automating testing workflows for validation of ADASSoftware on the test-benches and accelerating triaging of issues throughintelligent log analysis. You will work alongside a world-class team ofengineers to build the tools and frameworks that make our ADAS validationpipeline faster, smarter, and more scalable.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Designing and implementing automated test frameworks for ADASfunctions, focusing on automating the workflow to test ADAS on the test-benches

  • Building automated log analysis pipelines based oncutting edge LLMstoparse, classify, and triage relevant failures from in-vehicle andsimulation runs — reducing manual triage time

  • Developing scripts and tools to detect regressions, anomalies, andperformance degradations across large volumes of test logs and sensordata

  • Integrating test automation tooling into existing CI/CD infrastructure toenable continuous validation of ADAS software changes

What We Need to See:

  • Pursuing a Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, ElectricalEngineering, Computer Engineering, or Robotics

  • Strong Python programming skills; experience writing production-quality scripts for data processing or test automation

  • Familiarity with Linux-based development environments and shellscripting (Bash)

  • Experience with version control systems such as Git and GitLab

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to work through ambiguous failurescenarios and communicate findings clearly

Ways to Stand Out from the Crowd:

  • Prior exposure to test automation frameworks

  • Experience with C++ in an embedded or automotive software context

  • Familiarity with automotive data formats (e.g., MDF, ROS bags) or in-vehicle bus protocols (CAN, Ethernet)

NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world's mostdesirable employers. We are at the forefront of AI, autonomous systems, andhigh-performance computing — and our ADAS team sits at the intersection ofall three. If you are passionate about making autonomous vehicles safer and smarter, we want to hear from you.
